What you can expect from this webinar
Expect the best. Prepare for the worst. It’s a smart way to live our lives. Because when you're ready for anything, you don't need to constantly worry about what might come your way. Facility and Safety Managers are often responsible for their organization’s compliance with OSHA regulations, employee safety, and limiting liability. More importantly, they want to ensure the safety and well-being of the occupants of their managed environments.
Concordia University in Ann Arbor Michigan was prepared for the worst – when one Saturday afternoon Willie Allen suffered sudden cardiac arrest. Thankfully, Concordia's Facility Manager made the decision to equip the campus with ZOLL AEDs. Thanks to quick help from bystanders, and Assistant Athletic Trainer Kasey Ficken using one of the AEDs, Willie’s life was saved.
Join us for a one hour panel discussion where we will hear from a SCA survivor and his rescuer about how their campus was equipped with AEDs, and the importance of making sure your facility is prepared for cardiac emergencies.
You will:
-
Learn firsthand how being prepared can help save a life
-
Hear what steps an Athletic Trainer took when an athlete suffered from sudden cardiac arrest
-
Hear from a SCA survivor about how he now views AED and CPR awareness
